A short film following the work of Sima Safavi-Bayat as a skate coach and mentor to young girls and women learning how to skateboard in Portland, Oregon. Sima reminds us that learning to skate is not just the physical act of learning a new sport. It's also learning how to navigate a culture where gender constraints and social norms can reign the park (if you let it).
